Hiking has always been one of my greatest passions. There’s something magical about the combination of physical challenge and the quiet beauty of nature that makes me feel alive. Being out in the fresh air, surrounded by breath-taking views, and pushing myself up steep trails - it’s not just good for the body, but it’s incredible for the mind and soul too. Studies have shown that hiking reduces stress, boosts mood, and improves overall mental health. It’s no wonder I keep finding myself drawn to the mountains.
But you know what makes hiking even better? Sharing the experience with someone special. That’s why I think a hiking date could be the perfect way to spend time together - and with me as your companion, you’re guaranteed a memorable adventure.
🌿 Why Hiking With a Professional Companion is a Great Idea 🌿
Let’s face it - hiking can be tough, but that’s where I come in. As a former British Army reservist, I’m a pretty solid map reader, and I can go for miles without breaking a sweat. You won’t have to worry about getting lost or running out of steam - I’ll keep us on track and moving forward. Did you know I’m a professional snack queen? Expect a well-stocked supply of goodies (including an emergency stash of Haribo) to keep our energy levels up. And if things get tough, I will probably entertain you with random fun facts or even burst into song - whether that’s a blessing or a curse is up for debate!
🏔️ My Latest Adventures 🏔️

This year, I’ve already had some incredible hiking experiences. In February, I went to Snowdonia with my dear friend Audrey Astor. We set off at 5 am to ascend Glyder Fawr in the hopes of catching a cloud inversion. (What’s a cloud inversion, you ask? It’s when cold air gets trapped under a layer of warm air, causing the clouds to sit below you while you stand in clear skies - it’s like being on top of the world.) spoiler - we did NOT see a cloud inversion!
The hike was intense. We took the steep route up Devil’s Kitchen, and the weather shifted dramatically as we climbed. Snow and rain lashed at us, and at times the visibility was so poor we could barely see the trail ahead. But thanks to my trusty Patagonia jacket (a thoughtful gift from my lovely client, Mr. J - thank you ♥️), I stayed protected from the biting wind. And yes, we made it to the top - cold, but utterly exhilarated.

A special mention needs to go to my unforgettable hike up the Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail in Hawaii with Mr. R. Honestly, it was one of the best hikes I’ve ever done! Planning that hike so I could take in the awe-inspiring views of the island was such a thoughtful touch.
🥾 Future Adventures 🥾
I’d love to revisit the Scottish Highlands this year. My 2025 bucket list includes returning to hiking the Old Man of Storr, Ben Nevis, or a romantic 24hr date in Edinburgh to climb Arthur's Seat and take in the city from above.
I’m also really looking forward to a very special 48-hour date with one of my dear clients, Mr. NC, in the Peak District to celebrate his birthday! (Did I mention I love being a birthday treat? Click here to read my blog about that.)
And if we're thinking even bigger - I'd love to plan a trip to the Italian Dolomites or take on the legendary Camino de Santiago. Just imagine the memories we could make on those trails…
Hiking is truly one of my passions. There’s something so grounding about seeing the world in its raw, natural beauty, breathing in the crisp air, and feeling your heart race as you reach the summit. Sharing that moment with someone special makes it even better.
Love,
